RH ASB-Giving Back-boys

WE SHALL GIVE BACK

The students and parents of Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard have a proud history of admirable community service work and give-back projects. So many people, organisations, animals and the environment have benefited from their benevolence. Children from ELS to Matric are involved with initiatives such as Reach for a Dream Foundation, CANSA Shavathon, Safeline, Atlantic Home of Hope, Dominican School for Deaf Children, Christine Reville Children’s Home, Santa shoe box, Blisters for Bread, School Feeding Schemes, TEARS, The Guide Dog Association, Recycling, Reach for a Dream, Homes for the Aged, The Sunflower Foundation and many others.

Our parents, through the Parents and Friends Committee, likewise support a wide range of organisations and people in need especially when large scale disasters such as informal settlement fires, wildfires and flooding occur.

In addition to our community efforts, the Reddam Foundation gives disadvantaged students the opportunity to attend Reddam House. We invite you to explore this page for photos, news and upcoming events to highlight and showcase our passion for #GIVINGBACK

Mandela Day

We kicked off the third term by learning about Nelson Mandela and what it means to give back. The children were all very eager to help out on Mandela Day and make sandwiches for those less fortunate than us.

Christine Revel Children’s Home

Our annual One-to-One Day with the kids from the Christine Revel Children's Home was truly a wonderful experience. Here are more photos of the fun-filled day enjoyed by all.

Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard Interact hosted our annual One-to-One Day with the Christine Revel Children’s Home on Friday 26 August in the school hall from 13:00 to 15:30. The day would not have been possible without the immense generosity of the Moolla family who provided us with transport, the Bawa family for the delicious cupcakes, the Raubenheimer family for putting the gifts together, our anonymous Gr 11 donor, the Grade 10 dance committee donation and Shahzaib Jaffer for his generous donation of sweets and balloons, as well as the Bond family for the donation of teddies!

Seniors Preparatory Community Outreach Projects

Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard Senior Preparatory has spent the past two weeks actively involved in various community outreach projects.

They donated R2 000 to the Buy No Rhino organisation. They purchased 106 pairs of colourful laces in support of Clubfoot Awareness Day, which was celebrated today. In total an estimate of R5 000 was donated towards this cause. They also collected stationery and purchased stickers and colouring books, worth R600, for the patients of the Red Cross Children’s Hospital’s Burns Unit. Lastly, they donated 22 pairs of second hand school shoes to Prestwich Street Primary School. Thanks to all our students who participated, your compassion is commendable.
